This Berkel model 22 slicer was produced in England and was the first also designed to promote the brand, whether Berkel or the name of the butcher.
In fact, the front of the machine has a lovely piece of decorated cut glass on which it was possible to etch the name.
It is a fairly big model, the medium size of a series that included a smaller version (model 21) and a larger version (model 23), each with the same mechanical characteristics.
A model that certainly requires a large base if it can’t be positioned on the counter.
It is particularly striking if positioned in a corner where its consummate design can be admired from all angles.
